I love baseball, it’s my passion. I set goals daily to achieve my dream of playing baseball at the next level. I work hard and I like to think I’m a great teammate and team leader. I think being a good teammate means encouraging others when they are down and letting the team know that they can count on you when the game is tough. I think true character is shown when met with adversity. Being a team leader means picking your head up when you make a mistake and being positive even when your team is losing. Baseball is good at showing the character of those who play it. I’m an AllState Academic and Scholar Athlete, I excel in the classroom and on the field. My hard work ethic means that I not only try my best for myself, but to set an example for others. There is a younger generation that counts on us to guide them down the right path. I have been a mentor to my 2 younger cousins since they came to live with me at age 11. They have inspired me to do my best, because I know they look up to me. Someday, I hope I can thank them from an MLB field. Until then, I will keep trying my best to reach my dream of playing in the majors.
