Jason Himebauch '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a motivated student academically (4.0), involved in my school and community and driven to find out what opportunities my talent and hard work will bring.  I am part of a competitive, successful High School baseball program that is well known in Michigan. I am proud to be a part of this program and all the opportunities to learn and develop as a player and teammate that has brought me, including playing on a travel team created to play more with my classmates.   I lead on the field by initiating communication and focus on the play.  I am respected by my teammates, since I lead by example on the field and in the batters box.  In the dugout, I keep my teammates loose by keeping it light.  I have the athletic talent and grades to play Division 1 baseball, and I want to find a program to give me that opportunity.  I just turned 16 and my pitching speed is 77, without using a wind up.  I have not put specific focus on increasing my speed. The last two years I have grown 7 inches, so I was adjusting to that.  I am now putting in the work to get my speed up, to really showcase my accuracy and technique I bring to the mound.
