Personal Statement
My dream is to be in the MLB one day. I am working as hard as I can to reach my goals which are bat .400 this year, pitch as the ace, and make fewer than five errors this season. I have reached all of my weightlifting goals. Next year, I will set all of my goals even higher due to it being my senior year. My parents and fellow team-mates have been helping me reach my goals. In fact, the starting shortstop and I have a race going to see who can have the highest batting average at then of the season. Who doesn't like a little competition? He is a senior and at the moment; I am ahead of him. Hopefully, one day I will get a call from Nolan Ryan saying that he is going to draft me for the Texas Rangers.
Also I am an umpire for the major and minor league kids of Caseville. I ump just about every Tuesday and Thursday. In the summer I am a volunteer at The Miracle League of Michigan. This is a baseball league for kids that are cognitively impaired. This experience has changed my life. The kids I work with are so much fun to be around and have taught me so much. I gave one child my very first Phiten and he has yet to take it off. His name is Evan, and he always puts a smile on my face when I see him. Also, I play football and basketball at Caseville, as well as working at a local restaurant in town.
