Personal Statement
My name is Zach Brunet and I am part of the class of 2019. I have very high collegiate goals and aspirations such as completing college and succeeding in both academics and athletics at the highest level possible. It is important to me to finish with a high GPA, but most important is to increase my skill level both in the classroom and on the field. What makes me a great candidate for your team would be my determination, leadership, and work ethic. I am always the first one in the gym and the last one out because I feel that if I don't spend this time working on my knowledge, skill, and strength I will not succeed with the goals I have set for myself. I also have great leadership ability. I lead both by example and vocally. I try to set the best example for the younger kids not only in sports but for my younger sister at home and cousins in my family. An example of me being a leader was in freshman basketball when, as Captain, I helped lead our team to a 15-4 record battling injuries and losing players to the JV team. What makes me different from other recruits is my non-stop mentality. I never take a play off on the field, never take a day off getting stronger, and most of all never take a class off in school. These are just a few reasons that make me a great candidate for any college baseball team and a great person/leader for any university.
