Personal Statement

I was the second freshman to be placed on varsity in the last 10 years. The only one prior to me is now playing D1 baseball. As a freshman I hit in the 5 spot until later in the season when I was moved to the #2 spot. As a sophomore I batted 3rd all season and either led the team or was in the top 4 rankings in every offensive category. This year I batted 4th and led the team in every stat except 3B (2nd) and steals (3rd). Our team has made the district finals every year that I have played. It is only the 2nd, 3rd and 4th time in the last 12 years under the current coach. This year we were conference champs for the first time in 21 years. We were also invited to the Diamond Classic tournament for top area teams. It was the first time in school history. I am a team leader both on and off the field. I try to be the example for others to follow.

My senior year I batted 475 with 6 home runs and a slugging percentage of 900 and a 615 on base percentage. We won districts for the first time in over 12 years. I made 1st Team All State and was selected to the Lansing State Journal Dream Team.
