Personal Statement
I am an all A student and currently have a 4.0 gpa. I work hard and my work ethic is harder than most kids. I’m in the 9th grade. I took the ACT in 7th and 8th grade. In 7th grade I received a 17 and in 8th grade I got a 16. The major I want to flourish in when I get older is majoring in medicine or business but, my main goal is to play a professional sport.
I’ve played baseball since the 2nd grade. I started off playing coach pitch then I kept on progressing and I ended up playing travel baseball which I still do. I play center field and a little bit of 2nd base. I’m just a natural center fielder who knows where to throw the ball in the right spots. I also can track down any ball you want me to get too. From 2013-2015 I played for a major baseball team called the T.C Legends. On that team I traveled to Cooperstown and Kentucky and played a lot of baseball those summers. Our team split up at the end of the 2015 season. In 2017 I played for the Michigan Red Sox. We will traveled to some showcase tournaments in Michigan this year as well as playing in the Greater Flint Baseball League. That team did not challenge me enough and there were players that didn't even want to play and it brought the morale down so I made another change and I think it will be a good fit for me. I will be playing on a high level baseball team from Genesee County called Black Sox. I will be able to play lots of baseball, but the coaches like multi sport athletes and so I am able to play in my basketball games and camps as well, without feeling like I have to choose always. Some of my strengths are getting to any ball you want me too and making an accurate throw. At the plate you can also count on me to put the ball in play, but some of my weaknesses are not being as experienced at 2nd base. I also play basketball and football. I play point and shooting guard in basketball and receiver and quarterback in football. I am also interested in potentially playing college basketball as well. My mom also owns a CrossFit gym and so I do CrossFit a few times a week when my schedule allows.
As a human being I am a great on and off the field leader. If the team starts to get down I bring them right back up. My family and I attend church regularly on Sundays but I am associated with my youth group from the Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene. I am kind and caring with Christian values. If you need me for a favor, I’ll do it for you. I am just an outgoing friendly kid. I can make friends with anyone and my friends feel I am trustworthy. I live with my mom and step dad. I have a step-brother, who is my same age and we are always together playing video games or sports, and a step-sister, who is 13. I work very part time at my hometown McDonald's as well.
