Sean O'Keefe '17 Recruiting Profile

High school has been a great experience for me.   I am a lucky person; I have excelled academically, and I have found great success in athletics.   I've worked very hard for my accomplishments, both on the field and in the class room.  Playing three sports: baseball, basketball, and football, has not been easy, but I am very athletic.  I have a lot of natural ability, but I push myself and my team mates to get better at every practice.  I never take anything for granted, I go hard on every play when I am on the field or on the court.  I'm a pretty smart player and I have a lot of sports knowledge.  I have been playing baseball my entire life, so I know what I'm going to do in a wide range of situations.   I also watch a lot of baseball, both college and MLB.  I watch the players, learn from them, and study the game.  I am a good student; I know that my school work comes first and I have to have a plan for academic success.  So far, I have done a good job balancing school work, study time, and sports.  My goals after high school include playing college baseball and seeing where that takes me.  I love the game, and would really like a chance to play at the next level.  I think I have the skills, determination, and competitive spirit to be a contributor to a college team.  In college I would like to major in either pharmacy or physical therapy.  Both would be difficult programs, but would be rewarding careers.   In my future, I also would enjoy coaching high school sports.   I have enjoyed high school and have had much success playing sports.  I hope I get to fulfill my dream of playing collegiately and who knows where I could go from there!
