Personal Statement
Baseball has been part of my life since I can remember. My dad played high school and college baseball and as soon as I could hold a ball and bat, he had me in my front yard working with him. I am a very dedicated person to both myself and my team. I work very hard at improving myself every day academically and athletically. I can play any part of the middle infield and feel I am a good placement hitter. I am a voice in the dugout during games and at practice, encouraging other teammates and leading by example . I am a three-sport athlete (football, wrestling and baseball). Each year that I play and improve I am more in love with the game. I have been a varsity starter since my 10th grade year. This year I earned All- Conference First Team. I take the time to learn from my coaches, trainers and my older teammates. I know there is somethine I can work on every single day. I am in the cage at least 5 times week.
Academically I have always strived to be at the top. I am currently ranked one (5 kids tied for 1) in my class. I have pushed myself by taking college classes my junior year and am signed up for college courses my senior year. I have been on National Honor Society since 10th grade, am a tutor, in band and am part of Business Professionals of America. Academics comes first, athletics is a privilege. I take both very seriously, but also remember why I started…the love of the game.
