Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Bradlee Dahlen, and I live near Herman, Minnesota. Herman is a small town with a population barely over 400. Our school is so small that we are bussed to a nearby town called Wheaton. This is where I play high school sports. I have always had an immense love of baseball. I started playing baseball after 1st grade. Ever since I've been hooked. I was the starting short-stop on our JV baseball team as a seventh grader. I started on our varsity team as a 9th grader. As a 10th grader, I started multiple games pitching, and when I wasn't pitching I played every single position in the infield, including catcher. I played mostly at short-stop and first base when I wasn't pitching. The first game of the year I threw a no-hitter against Frazee High School. Last spring, I also signed my first contract with an amateur baseball team in Wheaton, the Wheaton Walleyes. I started every game for the Walleyes. Most at short-stop, second base, and third base. I usually bat at the beginning in the lineup, but as an underclassmen on varsity I have been hitting lower in the lineup with a near .300 average. I am a leader on every team I play on, and every summer I try to play on every team I can. Including Legion, and amateur league. I also coach most of my little brother's teams, who is two years younger than me. Baseball is truly my life.
