I am Ben Schefers, class of 2025. I attend Norwood Young America/Central High School in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. I play first base and I am a starting pitcher for my high school, junior legion, and town teams. My goal is to play college baseball. I'm hoping to find a college with strong baseball and academic programs, as I narrow down what I plan to study. I'm interested in business, statistics, actuarial science and sports journalism.

Level swing plane and average hands. Mid/pull approach with line drive and fly ball contact. Ability to drive the ball Power: 88.5 max exit velocity, averaged 81.9 mph. 308’ max distance. Arm: RH. INF - 1st- 75 mph. Defense: Developing footwork and glove. Slight stab working high with the glove. Run: 7.67 runner in the 60. Delivery: Narrow start. Side step and into balance position. Some stiffness in the lower half. Arm Action: RH. Short arm path, ¾ slot FB: T79.9, 79.1-79.9 mph. T1887, 1755 average rpm. Slight run SL: 65.5-67.9 mph. T1983, 1930 average rpm. Soft 10/4 break CH: 68.1-68.9 mph. T1690, 1604 average rpm. Fade, good run at times

- 8/01/20 2021 PBR Jr. Future Games Big physical frame with present strength. 7.60 60-yard dash. 82 mph exit velocity off of a tee. Pull approach. Flashed some pop to the pull side of the field. Pushed hands through the zone some. Wide base. Tendency to get a little long through the zone. Picked it well at 1B. On the mound Schefers topped at 78mph. He threw a heavy fastball low in the zone. Mixed with a curveball at 67-69mph that was thrown with good intent. Effective on the mound.

- 8/23/20 Schefers, 5-foot-11, 155 pound athletic frame. He showcased advanced skills at the plate, behind the plate, and on the mound. The right-handed hitter begins with a quick up and down load. His bat path is very much down through the baseball and gets strong line drive contact to the middle of the field. He showcased good barrel feel and started to drive the ball in the gaps. With adjusted bat path Schefers would show above average power. Off of the tee Schefers showed an exit velocity of 74mph and ran a 7.97 60-yard dash. Behind the plate shows his athleticism when blocking. He has a low set up and quiet glove work. His throws to second base were accurate with a short arm action, throwing 69mph, and a pop time range of 2.27-2.32 . On the mound the right-handed pitcher begins with a sweeping leg kick and an easy 3/4 arm action. Schefers sat 69-71 with some sink and run to the arm side. Mixed with a big sweeping 10/4 curveball at 53-56 mph. Also, added a 60-63 mph changeup that had some sink.
