Personal Statement

In college I would like to achieve a great education and throw a perfect game. I will always give my best on the field and encourage my teammates to help my team win. I am always going to work harder than than anyone else to be the best I can be. I know that there is always something to work on to be better and I am always willing to do the work.

In my first start of the 2021 season, I threw a complete game No-Hitter with 9 k’s while only walking one. My top fastball was 81 that day. Although my fastball was working, I mixed in my Curve and Slider to keep the hitters guessing.

I pitched a complete game 8-1 victory. I struck out 10 while giving up 0 ER and throwing a season high 122 pitches. This finished up a strong season throwing 65 innings with 73 strikeouts. I played on pitch to pitch 2023 and 2024 club team in 2020. My Top Fastball was 79 and my average was 77. I throw 4 pitches my fastball, slider, curveball, and change up. I averaged 96 pitches per start in tournaments.

As a class of 2024 I was the starting pitcher for the first game for the class of 2023. I struck out the side in the first inning hitting 75 miles an hour with a fastball average of 72. I gave up 0 ER in 1 2/3 innings while striking out 4 to help our team win.

I pitched 11 1/3 innings with 14 K's 3 Hits 0 ER. In the first game of bracket play I pitched 6 innings giving up only 1 hit to the first batter of the game and no runs. I pitched 175 pitches which was the maximum allowed for the tournament. I also hit close to .400 with 2 doubles.

Hit Dawg Academy

I have been training with Hit Dawg Academy for 5 years who is owned by Shawn Wooten. Shawn played 6 years in the MLB and won a World Series with the Angels in 2002. My hitting coach is Dan Palmer who played at Princeton University from 1986-1990. Dan is currently the director of baseball operations at Inside Edge and has been since 1996. Inside Edge is an advanced scouting company that sells data to MLB teams and media outlets. Erick Nelson was my pitching coach from 2017-2019. Erick played 2 years in the Independent league as well as 3 years in the minors. Matt Mossey is my current pitching coach who played at NDSU and Iowa University. He also played 3 years in the Independent league.
