Personal Statement
Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to be guided by great coaches and compete alongside talented players who love the game of baseball as much as I do. With college on the horizon, my main goals are to continue to build on my strong education and to hone my baseball skills. My biggest leap in baseball was when I transitioned to the varsity level. As an underclassman on varsity, I learned from my senior captains what it meant to be a good leader, how to conduct yourself and how to win with grace and lose with dignity. Today I am better as a person and a player because of what my senior captains taught me - I'm patient, determined and more emotionally controlled. These are the qualities of a leader that I always hoped I would obtain.
I have been fortunate enough to have the tremendous support of my family, friends, and mentors throughout my baseball career. Receiving a Catholic education has always put quality people around me who care about my well-being. I hope to find a school that, not only challenges me academically but also athletically. Having high standards and setting goals is a large part of who I am as a person and that will never change. I know I have what it takes to compete at the next level of baseball and I will bring my positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to deal with adversity with me.
