Personal Statement
Coach,
Genesis 4:9 reads, Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
My father is raising me with the worldview that I am my brother’s keeper. That concept is what I am as a person, as a student, and as a teammate. I always believe in uplifting those around me by leading by example. One way I do this is through hard work. I work hard in the classroom, and I work hard to develop my baseball skills. Truth be told, I have met students that are smarter than me and I have met baseball players who skills who more advance, but I have never met anyone who could out work me.
My goals is to play college baseball and receive a college degree up to a master’s degree. I promised my dad if he completes his PhD, then I will get my PhD also.
Coach, I love the game of baseball. If you give me the opportunity you will never have another player or student that will out work me. I will not let you down.
