Jaren VanMeter '20 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I could remember I've been drawn to baseball! All it took was a random game on T.V. and I would stop to watch. Baseball is a love of mine, a way of life. It's hard to not get romantic about the game of baseball. The only other thing that gets close to my love for baseball is racing. I race with my father, we rebuild the engines and completely rebuild the cars together. If it wasn't for him, I don't know where I'd be. He taught me the game of baseball and gave me the tools to live my dream of racing and playing baseball. If it wasn't for my parents, I would not have the ability to play the game and the work ethic to play either. I just want to help any program that gives me a chance to play, I just want the chance to play the best game ever invented at the next level. I will play at any level of school that is willing to give me an opportunity. I am 5'9" 150 pounds and I'm not the fastest, but I can hold my own on the base paths. I will bring multiple things to the table for college programs. Work ethic, I am a wrestler and my work ethic is above most. I am a football player also and we are having a great high school season thus far, banning together as a team. Baseball IQ, I have a great knowledge of the game and could tell you what should happen every play. I have a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and I scored a 19 on the ACT. My family isn't exactly the richest, but they aren't the poorest either. My athletic goals are to capitalize on all opportunities I get to play and be an all-around student of the game. I can't wait to get to work for the program that is the right fit.
