Personal Statement
I plan to keep working very hard and dedicating my time to baseball and getting better. My goal is to play at the collegiate level and even more. I plan to get a college degree so that I can have a successful life. I would be a great candidate for any team that I am on because I’m the type of person to push people to be better and want to get better everyday. In the off-season I am either throwing or lifting weights to get better. I try to motivate and influence people to want to get better as well. Another reason why I would make a great teammate is that I’m not the one to give up because something gets hard. I will never give up on my team and I will always have their backs. I am also very grateful for everything that I accomplish and always respect my team and authority. As far as my athletic ability, I have always been better than kids older than me and at my age. Since I was three years old, I have played baseball every year and I have always played in leagues against athletes that are a grade or two above me. And even then I have competed easily with them. I started pitching at the age of nine and my very first game I had 16 strikeouts as a kid. Since then I have been the starter for every team I’ve been on. I have great strength on the mound, I throw very fast for my age and I am extremely accurate. My fastball has natural movement on it that is hard for some people to hit. My arsenal consists of a two seam fastball, a slider, and change up. I can throw a breaking ball but I think 3 pitches is enough. As far as batting, I have always had a natural eye for the ball. I am a power hitter and hit my first highshool home run as a freshman last season. I bring a lot to the game with pitching, hitting, and even fielding. I can play third and first base as well. And finally the most important, the classroom. I am a very smart individual and can get excellent grades. Even though sometimes I might go throw instead of doin an assignment, for the most part I get pretty good grades. Thank you for taking the time to read this, even though it may seem that I am arrogant I’m not. I am a very humble person.
