Personal Statement
My name is Zach Wolken, and I am from Jefferson City, Missouri. I was born and raised in Jefferson City, and grew up playing all sports. I played baseball, football, basketball, and so many other activities. As fun as all of those were, baseball seemed to be the one sport that I always came back too as the most fun and made me the happiest. I truly fell in love with the game of baseball at a young age. As soon as I got to high school I kew that right away I wanted to play at a high level. I waited all my freshman year and the first few games of my sophmore year to get on the field. Before one game, coach came up to me and said he switched up the lieup, and I was playing first. I took that oppurnuity and never looked back. I started the rest of the season and helped the team earn a state finalist spot. When I get to college, I plan on bringing the same energy and determination to everything from weights, to film, to the practice field. I will compete for a spot from a freshman on, and along with getting a great education in the classroom. College baseball is my dream, and I will work as hard as I can to get it
