Personal Statement
I started playing baseball when I was three years old. Now, of course, I wasn’t dedicated at that age. Around the age of six I found my passion for the game. My father took me to a Royals-Cardinals game. The game ended up going into extra innings and I got to experience the feeling of a close game. After the game I walked the field and as soon as I stepped over the chalk line I was attached to baseball.
Some of my best qualities are leadership, work ethic, and perseverance. Playing Baseball has provided me with great leadership. An example of my perseverance and work ethic is my health habits (nutrition plan and workout schedules). I take weight training very seriously. I’m a member of the Athlean-X team and I also have a separate workout and baseball schedule. My schedule is an example of how I’ve built perseverance, work ethic and leadership.
My family stresses that grades are important too. I’ve begun to make my studies my number one priority. My goal in high school is to excel in courses that lead to my major. My goal in college is to hold a great GPA, achieve my degree and to succeed on the field. I intend to compete at the highest level I can for college ball. I want to be a leader on and off the field. I’m interested in majoring in physical therapy because of my health interests. I look forward to achieving my college baseball dream and bringing my talents to your school!
