Trey Mitchell '14 Recruiting Profile

My first dream is to play baseball at the next level.  I have played baseball since I was six.  I have played legion ball, travel ball, and high school ball. I have also attended several scouting showcases.  I know I'm not the ideal size yet, but my dad is 6'2 and 210 lbs so I'm pretty sure I'll get there.  I have a strong work ethic and I go hard.  I am currently working out daily lifting weights and running sprints.  My 60 has improved from 7.5 a year ago to 7.05 five months ago.  The velocity of my throw from OF has also improved as I continue to strengthen my legs and arms.  I'm still working on getting updated official times and will post them as soon I as get them.

Please keep in mind that I have grown and my speed and velocity have improved. Hopefully I'll be able to provide current footage during the spring.

My second dream is to gain some education and knowledge in business.  I would like to get my CDL and transport livestock.  Eventually I would like to own a trucking company that transports livestock.

However, I really hope I get to play at the next level. My parents have taught me never to give up.  Both of my parents were athletes.  My mom was a gymnast and ranked 5th in the state of Texas at one time.  My dad ran track and was offered a scholarship.  They have always said as long as it is  God's will and with hard work and determination I can accomplish anything.  I really hope I get the opportunity to prove it!
