I've loved to play sports for as long as I can remember! I've always been fast, and have always loved to jump! I started playing baseball, football, soccer and basketball when I was 5 years old; continuing on a competitive level with traveling teams for baseball and basketball when I was 8.
I feel that starting at such a young age has helped me learn discipline, time management as well as respect for my coaches and teachers, so I feel I am very coach-able and eager to better myself on the field, court, track or classroom. Being active in multiple sports has made it easy to stay in shape and learn so many different aspects of training. I've learned that each sport focuses on different muscles as well as techniques on mobility.
In the classroom I am a good student, maintaining a good GPA. I am also active outside of the classroom and athletics. I participate in our high school's Interact Club and Computer Club, my youth group and FCA. I also volunteer during all of our summer youth camps for basketball and football, and help during the youth track events held in our community when I am available.
I have always dreamed of being able to continue my athletics into college, and the past couple of years have really started to focus on my track events and football. I know I have the spring in my step and with the right training with my technique I will be able to push myself to compete at the collegiate level.
I want to attend a college that is going to push me physically, mentally and academically. I am open to all the opportunities that are out there, and want to find the college that matches my dreams and goals for my athletic and academic future. I pray to find the college that will allow me to succeed in life, to be a good role model for my younger sisters, and of course to make my parents and family proud!
