Personal Statement
My family and relationship with God have greatly influenced me. Encouraging my self-determination, they stressed academic commitment and fostered my youth leadership successes at our church and community. I have a love for music and playing the Alto Saxophone. Currently, I’m a member of the marching band. Some of my academic goals are to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, then after high school attend college and major in Business Marketing.
I have been playing basketball and baseball since I was five years old. Being fortunate to have the opportunity to play and be successful at both sports, baseball is my true love. I have learned how to be a leader on the field by leading by example when the team is down my attitude remains positive. Last summer I played as a freshman on the JV Baseball Team, and we made it to the Area Championship. Through this experience, my team was able to utilize my speed, defense, hitting, and strength to give us a chance to win. Unfortunately, we lost the Area Championship by one run in extra innings. This was a major upset for our team. However, by losing the championship, it encouraged me to come back even stronger, and better. I believe I have the talent, characteristics, and work ethic to be an asset and dedicated contributor to your team.
