Personal Statement
My favorite part of my high school career was getting to know my coaches and learning even more about baseball. They have taught me about being a better leader along with responsibility and staying dedicated. In my lifetime I have had many coaches and I've taken little bits from what they taught me and it got me to where I am now. Before high school I played select baseball at the highest level (USSSA - Major Division) since I was 8 years old. I have played for many fall teams, but the best experience was with the Nebraska Prospects. My coach Bill Steckis coached me for 2 years and he has taught me something new every day. I have learned lots from him and still use what he taught me. I'm very attentive when a coach is talking to me, so if they tell me something that I need to work on, I know what drills to perform to make myself better. I make friends with teammates easily and I can get along with others by finding things we have in common and talking about them.
I started to really enjoy baseball because it was fun and I wanted to be the best. The sport made me want to be the best at everything. I started to work hard and strive to be the best. Once I got to select baseball I found out that there were kids better than me. That motivated me to work even harder and make the starting lineup. It took some time, but I was dedicated and when I want to get better at something I work hard to get myself better. The hard work was starting to pay off but that didn't stop me from getting even better so I could be the best in high school too. I don't like to judge myself and be over confident because most people don't like people like this. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and staying out of drama. I stay out of trouble in school and work hard to get good grades. Outside of baseball I really enjoy cars. On my free time I like to go to car shows and drive around and look for cars. My friends and I have worked on our cars together and we plan on doing more to our cars in the future.
