Personal Statement
I envision my college years to be a growth period enabling me to prepare for working in the field of sports management. In addition to my classes, I would love to be a collegiate athlete. I am a very versatile baseball player. Primarily a right handed pitcher for my team, I am confident and composed. When not pitching I have played most positions on the field, however I have found that catching and short stop are where I play the most when not on the mound. I am a leader on and off off of the field and my team mates look to me to control the pace of the game, especially when I am pitching. I enjoy being put in positions to win games, whether with my bat or my arm. My coaches have always complimented me on my work ethic and my composure, especially in high stress situations. I am a student-athlete that spends a lot of time outside of practice time to achieve the results that my team needs me to have in order to be successful. I get along with everyone and respect my coaches immensely; I don't foresee this changing. I play multiple sports and I feel this has helped shape me into the athlete that I am. I feel that the people around me aide in any personal success I may achieve; I am humble and respectful, two qualities that are extremely important. I will continue to work over and above 100% to always do what I need to do in order for my team to be successful. I am extremely coachable and would be honored to play athletics beyond high school.
