Personal Statement
My name is Kyle Martin, I am in the class of 2022 at Bow High School in Bow, NH. My love for baseball started when I was 2 years old hitting balls in my living room and back yard. The competition involved and the relationships with coaches and teammates is what I love most about the game. Coaches always compliment my hard work and desire to get better. In the past, I have played for the New Hampshire Bobcats organization for 3 years and played for the Concord Cannons organization for 2 summers. In spring 2019 I was on my high school's varsity baseball team as the starting 2nd basemen, playing every out of every game. That team went 15-2 in the regular season and went on to be the number 1 seed in the tournament and the eventual NHIAA Division II State Champions. My goal for the end of high school is to win another state championship and be 1st team all-state at least one year. I have always aspired to play beyond high school at the collegiate level. As a sophomore in 2019-20, I was on the varsity basketball team and we finished the season 22-1 and won a Division II state championship. I was also the starting goalkeeper for the varsity soccer team for the past 2 seasons. In the 2020 fall season we made it to the DII State Final. Outside of athletics, I work hard in school to keep straight A's and a 4.0 GPA and was recently accepted into the National Honor Society. During the fall and spring seasons I work as a youth soccer referee for NHSA. I am very interested in the engineering field and plan to take engineering courses along with playing baseball in college.
