Personal Statement
I’ve played baseball since I was 4 years old and always enjoyed playing especially with my older brother. My goal is to play college baseball at the highest level I can and I have been working on that goal as hard as possible. Everyday of the week I do something consisting of lifting, hitting, bullpens or normal practice.
I'm also a three year varsity football player and was the varsity captain this past year. I go to every practice and off season workout. By doing this I earned a starting spot on the defense my junior year. I was also All-State east conference honorable mention. My senior season I was named 1st team All-State and I am up for defensive player of the year. I believe my hard work and leadership was noticed by my teammates which earned me the name of co-captain for the varsity team this year. Being the captain for a very competitive football program has taught me to lead a team on and off the field. This has made me a better leader whether I'm catching in a game or sitting on the bench.
Also despite my busy schedule with sports I still get A’s and B’s. Education is important to me because it gives me a better opportunity for my future. I hope to play at the next level for a competitive team and push myself academically. In baseball I find joy in just stepping onto the field and playing my heart out with my friends and I hope to continue that in the college level.
Due to Covid-19 I have decided to continue my high school education at a post grad school. This decision was made to increase my education and become a bigger, faster and stronger player on the field. This will also give me an extra year to prepare for college.
