Carter Shipley '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal for baseball is just to continue playing as long as I can. I have such a passion for this game and I have played my whole life. I will do whatever it takes to make it to the next level because it's what I want to do. I love the team aspect of the game and being a part of it. Especially when the team chemistry is high you can really create a bond through this game that you can't get in other sports, or maybe in anything in life. I am a dedicated hard worker. I love getting feedback and advice on how I can elevate my game so I can be more dominant and compete at a higher level. The team and coach I play for is just as, if mot more important to me, than the brand of the school. I want to commit to a coach that recognizes me for the best of me, and will support me as I grow as an athlete and a man. 

I am a great addition to any team because I won't settle and  won't become complacent. In addition, I lead the team and generate lift whenever I am on the mound. I know my energy and performance will impact my teammates. Therefore, I stay positive, I help them stay positive and encourage all of my teammates to bring their best every game. I recognize how even the players on the bench influence the energy on the team. Winning is fun, but knowing that I gave 100% of me to every pitch, to every play, and to every teammate is how I measure my success. 

I hope I can find a coach and a team that has the same optimism and future focus, that I do. The best is yet to come.
