Personal Statement
Its a night game, the bases are loaded, in the bottom of the 9th, and the feeling of adrenaline is pumping through me as I bring home the winning run for my team, coaches, and, most importantly, school. Playing baseball since I was six years old has left me plenty of time to visualize what it would be like to play college baseball. Winning has always been a part of my everyday life, whether it be beating the mighty Mahwah team, which our school had yet to overcome, or racing my brother across the field during our arm care routine afterward. What makes me different than most recruits is how I go about my training at home during the season and offseason. Every night I compose a schedule for myself for the next day, including specific time for meals, long toss programs, hitting sessions, and lifting and conditioning. Every morning I read over the schedule I made the night before and started my day, following the plan throughout the whole day, making sure to complete each task on it. My desire to take this game to the next level and drive to improve myself for the game is relentless and carries me through each workout I do. This game has taught me time management and how to work with teammates, and most importantly that a never-ending desire to work hard and to constantly learn will achieve positive results.
