Personal Statement
For most of my life, I have been the ‘small guy’ on the team that people sometimes underestimate. More recently, I have grown into my body and continue to add explosiveness to my game. Working out and gaining weight has been my priority has been my priority in 2022.
Living in Alaska and playing at a boarding school in New Mexico before spending my senior year at a large 6A public school in Bend, OR had limited my exposure to travel ball and/or prospect camps.
However, I know my baseball IQ and skills are above average; getting bigger and stronger is just the beginning. I am a solid hitter, gold fielding first baseman (I wish I was 6’2), outfielder, and a left-handed pitcher.
Attending an elite military high school for two years has stretched my ability to be a leader and an organized student athlete. Also, spending time at a larger public high school and experience a high level of baseball this year has been good for me. My academics are important to me as well as being a captain on my team.
I am constantly looking for ways to develop as a person and teammate. I will bring that work ethic to the collegiate level. Whether it is in the weight room, classroom, or on the field I will always do whatever is asked of me to the best of my ability.
Thank you for considering me.
