Personal Statement

I began playing baseball when I was 4 years old and was instantly obsessed with the game.  I have dreamed of playing college baseball since.  Baseball has helped me greatly and has led me to improve myself in many ways. I feel as if I have become more goal oriented and a more focused person not only in baseball but in my daily life as well. As a baseball player I have to be adaptable to various situations, and I now apply this to my daily life.  After losing my sophomore year to Covid, I have learned that not everything in life is guaranteed and you have to cherish the moments you have.  This has now led me to strive for the best in every scenario not only baseball. I am an honors student currently taking AP classes and have been on the Principal’s List every semester of High School.  I was also inducted into the National Junior Honor Society in 8^th grade.  I am looking for a program that values not only athletics but also academics. I believe with my work ethic, leadership and great character along with my skill set I can make a positive impact on any college program.
