Nick Scanlon '19 Recruiting Profile

My long term goal is to enter coaching. I have an extreme love for all of the sports that I play and when my career is finished I would love a chance to coach, but as far as my collegiate career goes, I want to play baseball. Playing baseball in college had been a long term goal of mine for many years, and it is now quickly approaching. I have two characteristics that I believe truly showcase the kind of player I am. My adaptability and my knowledge. I have always considered myself a very coachable player. Between varsity football, varsity basketball, and varsity baseball, I have had at least two different head coaches in the past three years for each sport. I have played in many different schemes and adjust my play to all of them. The one characteristic that I believe really sets me above the rest is my knowledge of the sports that I play. I have a savvy that allows me to pick up on certain keys and know how to react in a way that other players can not. My ability to adapt and my knowledge of the game put me ahead of the competition and make me a suitable contender for any prospective team.
