Matthew Rzeznik '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matthew Rzeznik and I am known on the field for my speed and power. I usually bat first or third on the teams that I play on and lead my team in most stats including: average, OB%, OPS, steals, and walks. I have also been chosen captain of my travel teams for the past few years. When I am not on the field I am usually getting training or hitting the weight room with my two brothers. I love the competition and friendships that baseball creates. After winning the NYS District 17 title, followed by the NYS Section 5 title, my team came up one game short of winning the NYS title. The very same day we were eliminated from state play, my team headed to Cooperstown, NY where I represented my team in the Road Runner, speed competition,. I placed second out of 104 other runners. Our team, (Hit and Run Highlanders) went on to seed second out of 104 teams as well. It was definitely my most memorable year of baseball so far. Now I'm focusing on finding a college baseball program so I can continue playing the game I love with a competitive team while also getting a quality college education.
