Personal Statement
I would like to continue to play baseball at the collegiate level while pursuing my educational goals in the field of math and science. I have played several years of competitive baseball for my school as well as on several different travel organizations. Throughout my experiences, I feel I learned the most during my sophomore year, when my team lost in the Sectional Championship. After that, I knew what it was going to take to become a Sectional Champion. During the offseason, I put in countless hours of practice working towards that goal. During those hours of practice, I have realized what it will take to play at the collegiate level.
I am a leader both on and off the field. In the classroom, on the court, and on the field, my positive attitude and work ethic sets me apart from others. Both my coaches and teammates can always count on me to lead by example, to set a positive tone, to never give up, and to do whatever is asked of me. I am kind and respectful to my teammates and other students. Through my efforts and the example I set, I help others around me and the team improve. Whatever I do, I give 110%. As a three-sport, four-time team captain, I know what it takes to be a leader and how important it is to push my teammates to be better players and people too. I believe that with my work ethic and athletic ability, I will be able to make a positive impact on your baseball program.
