After graduating high school I hope to continue my studies at a good academic college or university while playing baseball. I have not yet decided what I want to major in, but I have enjoyed the math course I’ve taken-in particular, an independent research project I did in which I modeled ways to compare baseball statistics across generations. I did an internship at a public opinion research firm this school year where I’ve learned more about statistics and writing statistical reports. This summer I will be interning on a political campaign in New York where I hope to build upon those skills.
I’ve played and loved baseball my entire life and want to continue working hard at it while getting a good education. I work hard on and off the field and I am always trying to improve as a player. I also feel as though baseball gives me structure and introduces me to diverse groups of players I might not otherwise know or develop friendships with.
I don’t yet know what part of the country I want to go to school in or exactly what kind of setting, but I am certain I want to go to a school that offers a well-rounded academic experience and high-quality baseball.
