I started playing baseball at the age of 3 years. Through the years, being an athlete has taught me character, the importance of a good work ethic and leadership to make an impact on my teammates and my coaches. I also believe that in order to grow as a person and athlete, the hardships are very important to learn more about yourself and about your teammates and those around you willing to help. I feel that I grew the most as an athlete during my freshman year baseball season as I struggled heavily. That year led me to understand the hard work that is necessary to be successful as a person and athlete if I want to compete at the college level.
I have been fortunate enough to be influenced by some great people in my life, including coaches, friends, family and teachers. Those people have taught me the value of commitment, teamwork and sacrifice to become a leader on and off the field. I believe I have the talent, as well as the character, leadership skills, and the work ethic to make an impact for a college program. Playing many different sports growing up, I believe that I have what is needed to be a leader within your program.
