Personal Statement
I currently attend and play baseball at Dl Canisius College in the MAAC Conference. In limited playing time I currently have about a .290 batting average this year with a .750 slug %. Last year (my COVID freshmen year) I batted .500 with a .500 slug%. Though I may not be the biggest guy in the world, I come to the plate with plenty of pop in my bat. All that I am looking for is an opportunity to show what I can TRULY do on the Dl level with more consistent plate appearances.
In High School in my Senior year I led my team to the Regional and Conference Championships and fell just short of winning state championship by 1 game (losing by 1 run in semis). I led (or tied for the lead) my Suffern HS baseball team (voted one of top HS baseball programs in Nation) in almost every offensive category. Finished senior year with .433 batting average and .527 on-base %. Tallied 7 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs to go along with 39 rbi’s and 12 stolen bases. Voted team MVP and earned All-league, All Section and all region 1st accolades . Perfect Game ranked top 500 player in entire nation (# 352 SS... NYS ranking #32 overall, #8 SS). Also, one of the top ranked players by PBR.
I am just looking for a chance to not only continuing with my pursuit towards my degree but I am also looking for he chance to contribute to a team on the field. I have always considered myself a “team first “ player. Although I am not getting the opportunity right now in my current location, I am still always one of the 1st off of the bench to congratulate and show some love to my teammates. I just want that opportunity to show a team what I can contribute out there on the field. All I need is that chance. I WILL IMPRESS!
