Matthew Batson '17 Recruiting Profile

My sports career and love of baseball began at 11 years old by playing for a travel team participating in Dream Parks at Cooperstown,NY. My ongoing athletic abilities and personal goals have made me very flexible, knowledgeable, and a competitive team player. I have been able to be a all around athlete which allows me to a positive leader while playing quarterback, forward in basketball, and multiple positions in baseball. My experience in playing with team mates has helped me realize that it is not an individualized effort but a team concept. When ever my team mates and I may feel defeated  I continue to play at 100 % and encourage the team to never give up. My goal is to play at the highest level possible while keeping physically and mentally fit.
