Personal Statement
As a young child, I was always intrigued by the possibility of being a professional athlete, but as I got older, I became aware of other amazing careers in sports.
I currently play two sports, baseball being my focal sport, and basketball as my secondary sport. This past fall, I played for the Concord A's, through the Core Athletics organization. Throughout the season, I batted above a .400 batting average, and started shortstop. I also played every other position when needed. I can personally say that I am a ver versatile student athlete. I typically have practice everyday, when we don't have scheduled games, while maintaining a 3.2 gpa. For my sophomore year, I achieved the team leadership award for the varsity baseball team of Carolina international school. My coaches felt that I set a strong and firm example for the entire team. I love volunteering, because I think it's great to give back. I have volunteered with hope world wide, the harvest food bank, and Salvation Army clothing drive. I also volunteer with the Mallard Creek Optimist Club.
My aspirations are to receive an athletic scholarship to receive an athletic scholarship, to play baseball in college, as I get my degree, to become a sports agent. My dad has always told me, " hard work pays off", and I will abide by this philosophy until my dreams and aspirations come true.
