Justin Lambert '20 Recruiting Profile

The moment I touched a baseball I knew I wouldn’t ever want to put it down. My whole life I’ve played baseball and I’ve never stopped to think if it was time to hang my cleats up. My first word was “ball”. Growing up I always played with the older kids and I always excelled at baseball. In 7th grade I told myself, after I made my middle school team, that I’ll do anything it takes to play baseball the rest of my life. 

I played travel ball since I was 9 and I loved it, but the day I made the middle school team I knew baseball was my life. Now as a sophomore in high school I’m starting on varsity and I can’t tell you a certain position because I know and my coaches know too that I am a very versatile player and I can do anything you ask me to. I’m a very coachable kid, I know my role as a ball player and I know what I’m expected of. Not everybody is meant to be a hero but all hero’s are just ballplayers doing their job.

I’ve played with some really great prospects and I’ve learned a lot as a player mentally and physically. I look forward to playing college ball and I’ll make sure I contribute to my team and my school like I’m supposed to.
