My name is Evan Edmiston from North Wilkesboro, NC, and I am a middle infielder/pitcher for the 2016 class. I am a multi-sport athlete, as I play baseball and basketball for my high school, playing varsity baseball since my freshman year, and varsity basketball since I was a sophomore. I have played shortstop, second base, third base, pitched and played outfield for my club teams. In 2015 I led my high school team, West Wilkes High School, in HR, RBI, R, SLG%, and doubles, leading our Team to a conference championship and 4th round of the NC State Playoffs. I consider myself one of the top MIF power hitters in northwestern NC, as per MaxPreps as i was in the top 10 in RBI and HR. I continue to have a great love for baseball and I continue to work hard improving my baseball skills, strength, and academics, as in 2015 I was recognized as a Junior Marshal for West Wilkes High School. I have always been a leader on all athletic teams I have been part of, being a captain and/or leader, while also being a leader in the classroom. I strive to be a leader on my high school baseball team as I enjoy mentoring younger players in our program as other team mates have mentored me. I am a hard working student athlete who works hard in the classroom and on the baseball field.
