William Coor '15 Recruiting Profile

    I have just finished my Junior year at Spring Creek High School in Seven Springs, NC. I was recently awarded Jr. Marshall along with the top 10% of my class.  I currently hold a 4.3 weighted GPA.  I am a starting pitcher and the starting shortstop. I am also the alternate catcher.   I can play any position successfully. I finish out this years varsity season with a batting average of 451 and OBP is 516.  My FP 96. My stats ranked in the top 2 players of our conference and broke stat records for my high school.   My Legion team finished 4th in the state.  I run cross country in the fall for endurance purposes.  I ranked 1st in our district 2 years and made it to state finals all  4 years and have broken all cross country records at my high school. 

    My goals for the future are very important to me.  They begin with making the most of my high school career both academically and athletically.  I set very high standards for myself and strive to be the best both on the field and in the classroom.  I am not perfect and have faced personal failure but it only makes me work harder to achieve a different outcome.  I love my family and friends but I have always had a tendency to sacrifice social activities to be able to achieve excellence in school and in sports.  I look forward to gaining a great college education while doing what I love, playing baseball. Education has always been important to me and I am just as competitive in the classroom as I am athletically.  God has blessed me and I never want to take for granted the talents and gifts that He has given me.
