Zachary Reil '23 Recruiting Profile

All my life Baseball has been a huge love of mine. With this, I have learned to play every position on the field and excel wherever I am needed. My main position is anywhere in the outfield and I have a three-quarter delivery release on my pitch. While pitching everything I throw has a tail and movement. My main pitches are a fastball, slider, change-up, and a curveball. I have played all levels of baseball from rec to travel and now high school baseball at Swansboro High School where I have constantly been a starter regardless of the team I've played on.

I am also very active whenever I am not on the field constantly cheering on my other teammates and being an all-around team player. In college, I hope to be a positive lift to all my team members as well as academically perform to the best of my abilities. Regardless of whether I'm on or off the field I always perform at the top of my abilities.

Beyond College, I hope to play for a Major League team or return back to my home town where I plan to serve the community as a paid Firefighter and EMT.

Though my GPA is not at the level most colleges would like does not mean I haven't been giving it my all in the classroom. I was diagnosed at the beginning of high school with a learning disorder that requires some special assistance while in class which has only began to assist me my junior and senior year mainly because of covid restrictions my freshman and sophomore year.  

Outside of my duties in high school, I also assist my dad coach my little brother's team to assist in building those behind me as well.
