Darius Welcome '19 Recruiting Profile

I first started playing t-ball at the age of 5.  From that moment to now, I have developed a love for baseball.  Baseball has allowed me to express myself in ways other sports couldn't.  My coaches have instilled the fundamentals of game, in addition to what it means to be a good teammate.  I've learned how to be a good winner and loser and I have also learned to play hard, fair and with good sportsmanship.

Through baseball, I've learned how to deal with the highs and the lows.  I've been taught not to be to heavy in either direction.  I'm a good teammate and I work extremely hard to give my teammates and coaching staff all I have each and every day.

I've been fortunate enough to compete in baseball in such places as Cooperstown, NY, the Ripken Experience at Myrtle Beach, as well as, advance through some of the stages of USA Baseball NTIS program.  If baseball could help me gain an education while also allowing me to further my athletic dreams, I would be very grateful.
