Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. I have tried other sports, but baseball is the one sport that made me feel alive. With baseball, I have learned how to work through tough situations and take criticism from coaches. I have also learned to be myself and never give up.
Thanks to my parents, I have come to understand that school comes first. I strive to keep my grades up and get my homework done. I take honor courses to push myself academically. I also try to find time to relax and have fun
I feel what makes me stand apart from others is my drive to get better, being coachable, and asking for help to get better. I would love to be a part of a team that strives to work hard, is focused, but also knows how to enjoy the game. My parents have always told me to have fun at what I do; otherwise I miss out and forget what I love about the sport. I always want to remember why I play baseball and don’t want it to always seem like work.
