My name is Gage Balfour, a senior at Harvey High School in Harvey, ND and will be graduating in the spring of 2020 in the top five (5) of my class. I consider my strengths to be the following: competitive, strong work ethic and I am extremely coachable. I am primarily a shortstop on my varsity and summer league teams; however, I play wherever I am needed. In the fall, I play varsity football where I am the starting safety and wide receiver. I am looking at colleges with a strong academic program; as well as, a competitive baseball program. I am currently looking at a major in the energy field not sure exactly what type yet and I would like to play college baseball.
In my spare time, you can find me outside fishing or hunting. In the summer I work for the Harvey summer rec board coaching the little league teams and growing our future ball players. The most rewarding thing from teaching them is to see how they develop over time and improve. My dad was a baseball coach when I was younger so I have been involved with baseball since I could walk. My high school baseball goal is to make it on the State Class B team and take my team to the state tournament. My high school academic goal is to maintain a 3.5 GPA and stay on National Honors Society.
