Personal Statement
My name is Brody Strahm and I am currently a sophomore at Horace High School in West Fargo, North Dakota. My goal is to continue to grow as a person and an athlete by playing baseball at a college or university that aligns with my personal, athletic, and academic goals and values. I prioritize my academics and excel in the classroom.
Although I have primarily played 1B, 2B, and LF, I consider myself a teachable athlete who is willing to fulfill any role necessary to benefit and meet the needs of my team and coaches.
My baseball experiences include playing travel ball, high school ball, for a fall selects team, private infield workouts, private hitting lessons, private pitching lessons, and participating in several baseball camps and showcases. Additionally, I make taking care of my body a priority by regularly working out at an athletic training facility, adhering to a stretching routine, and following an individualized nutrition plan.
What I bring to a team environment is positive encouragement and body language, a calm but competitive demeanor, strong work ethic and self-motivation, an eagerness to learn, improve, and receive constructive feedback, and an overall respect and love for the game of baseball.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a baseball program after high school that simultaneously helps to mold me into the best person, student, athlete, and baseball player that I can be.
