Personal Statement
I’m currently going into my senior year at Berea-Midpark High School, a division 1 school. I’m a starter on the varsity team, playing shortstop/3B. My junior year, I received the Southwest All Conference 2nd Team award and am ranked in the state of Ohio by Prep Baseball Report. I received mention of “Top Uncommitted Player” “Most Tools”, and “Best Hands in the Field” at PBR events. I feel I’m a great candidate because of my leadership skills and my passion for the game. I hold several leadership roles at my high school, being a student ambassador, a member of S.A.L.T (student athlete leadership team), I am 1 of 4 people selected to run our high school social media account for our student section at high school sporting events, a two year camp counselor for our 6th grade students that attend a week long camping trip and I am a student aid, I assist a teacher with students that have special needs and behavioral issues. I’m a team player, have a high amount of confidence in my baseball ability and love facing the best competition. I consider myself to be well liked by my peers. Other people tend to notice my dedication to baseball and the hard work I put into succeed. I have a great sense of humor and my optimism is contagious. In the summer, I play on a tournament team for the Lake Erie Warhawks and also play fallball with them. I’m a solid left handed hitter with above average glove skills, a versatile player who can easily be moved around. I put everything I have into every game. I’m a hard worker, constantly practicing to get better and usually inviting my teammates to do the same by meeting at local fields to get our reps in, but my hard work doesn't just stop on the field, in school, I’m in advanced classes. I’m employed at DBat, a new state of the art indoor baseball facility where I get a lot of my reps in. During my off season, I’m employed with the City of Brook Park coaching youth basketball and football. I played basketball for my school and was chosen captain of the freshman team.
