Personal Statement

(As of June 2022) I am an incoming Junior at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. I am an A/B student currently carrying a GPA of 3.0. I participate in both baseball and basketball, but my real passion is baseball. I train athletically every single day focusing on increasing strength and agility as well as specific baseball skills. I have a personal trainer (strength) that I work with 5 days a week. I have the unique luxury of being able to work on hitting and pitching at my house on a regular basis (full size batting cage / pitching lane in my basement). My passion for baseball runs in my family as my dad pitched professionally in the Milwaukee Brewers organization and prior to that had a 4 year scholarship at Bowling Green State University and holds several pitching records there.

37 game season, went 24-13 against outstanding competition (2 tourney championships). Led team in pitching with 41 innings, with 31 K's and 14 BB's - had an ERA of 1.52 and a WHIP of 1.23 (5 complete games!). Batting Avg., SLG%, OB% and OPS (0.282, 0.372, 0.412, 0.784, respectively). Extremely versatile defensively, played all OF positions, SS, 2B and 3B when not pitching.
2021 Ohio Elite North - Byrne (15U)
Team record of 15-15-3 - extremely good competition. Team didn't keep stats. Nolan was one of the top 4 weekend pitchers for each tournament and played OF.
2020 Brecksville Bees (14U)
36 game season (even with a COVID delay), went 18-18 against outstanding competition. Led team in Batting Avg., SLG%, OB% and OPS (0.457, 0.670, 0.540, 1.210, respectively). Pitched 27 innings, with 28 K's and 21 BB's - had an ERA of 3.84 and a WHIP of 1.57. Extremely versatile defensively - innings played by position: 3B-66, OF-39, SS-31, P-27, 2B-16, 1B-8
2020 Ohio Elite North (15U (Fall Season))
Will be playing in the Sandusky Sports Force Park Tourn-A-League (5 tournaments the weekends of: 9/5-9/7, 9/19-9/20, 9/26-9/27, 10/3-10/4, 10/24-10/25. Team record was 7-11 against extremely good competition (most games against older teams). Stats were not kept. Nolan pitched and played OF.
2019 Brecksville Bees (14U (Fall Season))
16 game fall season, went 10-6 against solid competition. Led team in Batting Avg. SLG% and OPS (0.467, 0.600, 1.138, respectively). Pitched 17 innings, with 23 K's and 9 BB's - had an ERA of 1.62 and a WHIP of 1.15.
2019 Broadview Heights Eagles (13U)
Very competitive 13U spring/summer team, playing against top competition. Nolan was 2nd on the team in BA, doubles & RBI's.

Was named MVP of his 13U championship team (Team Name - Elite). Went 7-11 with a HR and triple. 6 RBI's, 8 RN, 6 SB's and didn't strike out. He lead the team in BA, OBP, Hits, Triples, RBI"s, RN's and SB's. He also pitched 4 scoreless innings (2nd most IP on the team), got the W and recorded 5 K's and 1 BB - gave up 2 hits. He was coached by Simon Lowe.
