Personal Statement
I began catching in 4th grade because our team needed someone to do it. I asked my dad if he would buy me gear so I could practice. As soon as I began playing that position, I loved it. I realized it was a natural position for me and I've dedicated myself to improve each time I put the gear on.
I enjoy the mental and physical demands of being a catcher, doing everything I can to become a complete athlete and a supportive teammate is a priority for me. I love the competition and have learned to respect the game, coaches, and competitors.
My immediate goal is to excel at the high school level and become proficient to play at the collegiate level, and beyond if possible. In the classroom, I continue to work hard to maintain a solid GPA.
