Derek Bolander '20 Recruiting Profile

My goal for college is to get my Bachelor's degree and play baseball.  I am 6’1, 160 and 16 years old. I have a 3.1 GPA and also take honors classes.  One of my best athletic traits is that I am very coachable.  I am a multisport athlete as a starting varsity baseball and basketball player.  I consistently demonstrate leadership beyond my athletic capabilities by working hard, staying focused on always improving my skills and helping my teammates.  I can adapt easily and get along well with any team or coach.   While my primary position is a RHP, I have strong overall athletic capabilities, and have regularly played infield (2B, SS) outfield (all) positions and consistency produce (.300) in any lineup slot/situation.  On the mound, I have command and demonstrate control both mentally and physically.  I am used regularly as the starting pitcher or relief in tight situations.
