Playing baseball in college, or even in the MLB has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid. However, I'm sure any coach has heard that a million times. So what is it that sets me apart from every other student athlete trying to play collegiate baseball?
Well for starters none of my starting spots where handed to me. Often in my younger years I sat the bench. I out worked everyone else and earned my spot. I lost weight I ran and practiced every day until people finally respected me as an athlete. But I didn't stop there because I still knew there was people who could take my spot if I stopped working as hard as I could. My work ethics are reflected in my grades as well. I'm very proud of what I had achieved carrying a 3.75 GPA going into my last year of high school. I take great pride in doing the best work possible and will never do something 50%. Now I have talked a lot about myself. However, on the baseball diamond I would much prefer to talk about my teammates. If you talk to my teammates or coach they will tell you I love being surrounded by my teammates. I treat them like family and would always put in 110% for them. I do whatever I can to lead them or make sure they keep there heads up since baseball is such a mental game. Even at work outs or combines I love to embed myself into the people there and meet and learn from as many baseball players as possible.
My goal is to play for a team that I can give my all to. My goal is to grind and improve everyday and be able to look at my work and be proud of what all my team and I have achieved. I want to take my skilled to that next level no matter how much work that might include.
