Trent Collins '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been influenced a lot of people, but most importantly is my father. Without him I may have never played the amazing sport of baseball. He introduced me to baseball at the age of three. I haven't missed a season since I started. Through playing baseball, I learned not only am I a decent ball player, but also a great team leader. I am always looked at by my varsity coach to come up with a great play or clutch hit. I also learned that I play better with more pressure. 

My future goals are to graduate high school with a 3.5+ GPA and go on to become a vet after college. I have had many obstacles in my way such as injury, and coaches not giving me my chance. I overcame those obstacles by working hard and getting better and proving people wrong. Proving that if I want something, whether it is recovering from an injury or working for more playing time, I am willing to work harder than the next person. 

My main characteristics are having a great work ethic and being a spark plug for my team. Having fun playing baseball is one of the most important things to me. If you aren't having fun you are not playing it right. I don't care what division it is, if you think I can help the team, I'll play. I just love the game. Lastly, I know when to joke around and have fun, but I also know when to flip the switch and focus on what has to get done. This is what I can bring to your team
